AI fundamentals intensive: the Claude and ChatGPT family hands-on.
Two-day workshop for everyone who wants to move from first understanding into productive AI work. The intensive covers all content of the foundations course and deepens it through hands-on exercises. On top of that come further topics and tools that do not fit the half-day format: the Claude family hands-on, code AI in direct comparison, agentic AI with your own APIs and image AI for QA artefacts. If you have already done the foundations workshop, you are still welcome here and use the refresher block as a compact recap.
Four reasons the intensive workshop pays off.
Foundations plus depth in one
For beginners the half-day foundations course is the right crash course. For those moving into productive use, the intensive covers the foundations in compact form plus 1.5 days of practice.
Tool variety in practice
Claude CoWork, Claude Code, Claude Designer and ChatGPT Codex in direct comparison. You learn the strengths, the limits and clear selection criteria for your concrete use case.
Agentic AI as a practice topic
AI as an autonomous component: set it up, secure it, extend it through your own APIs, keep costs and risks under control.
Practical scenarios to work on
We work with prepared practical scenarios that show the tools on realistic tasks. The examples are chosen so that the insights transfer to your own use cases later.
Lifetime access to the online course material.
After the workshop your login keeps working. Whenever we update the material, you get the new version automatically. No expiry, no re-booking.
What you can do after the workshop.
Five building blocks over two days.
Foundations entry
All content of the foundations course is covered here and deepened on tasks from your own day-to-day. If you have already attended the half-day foundations workshop, you use this block as a refresher and move into the further practice exercises earlier.
- Models and vendor landscape: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini at a glance
- Prompt basics, roles, context window and realistic expectation
- Use cases and risks in daily work, awareness block
- Short demos of the tool variety we deepen in the next blocks
Claude CoWork & Designer
A generous hands-on block for the Claude family as a creative and office tool. You build your own projects live, learn context-aware work, and see what Designer delivers for visual outputs.
- Set up CoWork projects for your own office and research tasks
- Work with artifacts, custom instructions and conversation context
- Experience Designer for structured sketches, diagrams and visualisations
- Exercises on tasks from your own work, you take your own templates home
Code AI compared: Claude Code & ChatGPT Codex
Second large hands-on block. Code AI in direct comparison. We set up the working environment together, look at strengths, limits and selection criteria for concrete QA tasks.
- Use Claude Code for test generation, refactoring and review loops
- Run ChatGPT Codex on comparable tasks and place the differences
- Set up the working environment: setup, custom instructions, repository context
- Selection heuristics: when CoWork, when Code, when Codex, when better classic
Agentic AI
AI as an autonomous component: set up, secure, extend. From concept to running agent, with live use of the Agentic Token Calculator for the cost side.
- Understand agent architecture: tools, memory, loops, stop conditions
- Connect through your own APIs, with authentication and rate limits
- Place safety and steering layers so the agent does not drift
- Estimate cost with the Agentic Token Calculator, run realistic scenarios
- Run scenarios live, prepare escalation and stop paths
Image AI in professional use
DALL-E, Nightcafe and related image tools. Practical use for mockups, bug-repro images, training material and test artefacts, with a clear line between value and gimmick.
- Produce mockups and wireframe sketches quickly and usefully
- Generate bug-repro images and documentation visuals in a structured way
- Enrich training and onboarding material with visuals
- Place licensing, data-protection and authenticity questions pragmatically

What we are often asked.
Do I need the foundations workshop AND the intensive?
No. The half-day foundations workshop is a crash course for colleagues who do not yet know AI. A compact, easy-to-attend introduction next to daily work. The intensive workshop covers all content of that foundations course and deepens it through hands-on exercises. On top come further topics and tools that do not fit the half-day format: the Claude family hands-on, code AI in comparison, agentic AI and image AI in professional use. If you have already attended the foundations workshop, you are still welcome in the intensive and revisit the familiar content directly on your own work.
Do I need accounts for the tools?
Helpful but not required. We work primarily with demo access and free tiers. If you already have Pro accounts, bring them along and practise directly in your own setup.
Which topics come from my daily work?
We work with prepared practical scenarios that show the tools on realistic tasks. The examples are chosen so that the insights transfer to your own use cases later. You are welcome to bring your own tasks into the discussion. The common thread of the workshop stays with the prepared examples so the curriculum holds reliably.
How does this relate to “Workshop: evaluating AI”?
The Workshop: evaluating AI covers testing AI systems from a test-lead perspective (eval sets, robustness, reporting). The intensive workshop here covers AI as a tool in your own day-to-day. The two complement each other and are clearly distinct in topic.
From first understanding to agentic solution.
Solid foundations turn into productive practice. Prepared scenarios show the tools on realistic tasks. The result is a documented tool and workflow selection that you can put to use the day after.
Maybe a different pillar fits your situation better.
